Achill Half Marathon 2008 Special Screening & Conversations.

We would like to invite everyone who come along to participate with us in our special screening of "Hotel Rwanda" at the Cinemobile situated at the Tented Village of the Achill

Half Marathon 2008.

This is the movie that helped inspire the foundation of Silent Masses and highlights

the tregedy of genocide.

We also will hear from Dr. Abdullahi Osam El Tom from the Darfur Solidarity Group and professor of anthropology in NUI Maynooth. He will present a talk on genocide and on the current situation in Darfur.

James Cleary will represent Silent Masses and will give an introduction to our movement and introduce the movie.

We hope that everyone will take away a better understanding of the awful situation in Darfur and we encourage you to RAISE YOUR VOICE by signing our petition at the event or by signing our online letter addressed to the powers that can stop this bloodshed.
